New Commercial Real Estate Website launched by Bloomington Board of Realtors®
Date: Jun 01, 2007
(BLOOMINGTON, IN) -- On June 1, 2007, the Bloomington Board of REALTORS® and its subsidiary corporation, Bloomington MLS, Inc., enhanced the commercial properties side of their online multiple listing service with the launch of www.BloomingtonCommercialProperties.org.
Bloomington MLS, Inc. was incorporated in 1992 and has been recognized as a pioneer in online multiple listing service technology taking its first website www.homefinder.org online in 1997. In 2001 www.homefinder.org was recognized by the National Association of REALTORS® Association Executive Magazine as one of the top Internet-based multiple listing services in the United States.
Recognition for the development of the new commercial properties website goes to Tracee Lutes with Avenues Realty Group and 2006 president of the Bloomington MLS, Inc. and to Chris Cockerham, commercial property manager with CFC, Inc, and BBOR Board of Director, who chaired the "Commercial Properties Task Force". Members of the task force included Debbie Marietta of CFC, Inc., Debi O'Heran of WS Property Group, John West of FC Tucker/OBR REALTORS, Jim Regester of RE/MAX Realty Professionals, and Whitney Gates of Gates Development.
According to the project lead Chris Cockerham, "We have added several new features to our newest website that are more aligned with national commercial properties websites. This will bring tremendous value to commercial property owners and investors throughout our region, not to mention businesses that are looking for space. With the creation of www.BloomingtonCommercialProperties.org, commercial brokers and agents will be able to better market their client's commercial properties that are "for sale" and "for lease" through this new website.”
BBOR partnered with ConsulTech, Inc. on this project, the BBOR internet service provider since 1996. According to Patrick Casey, CEO of ConsulTech, “This partnership has allowed us to build and maintain a software program that meets the unique needs of the real estate professionals. Over the years we have expanded our services to the local real estate community in a variety of ways, and the new Bloomington commercial properties web site allows us to expand services into significant new areas. I salute the visionary leadership of BBOR and Bloomington MLS for taking this dramatic step to improve real estate services for Monroe Country, Owen County and surrounding areas.”
